Eating Sustainably

Today’s modern fishing world is struggling with dwindling fish populations, brought on by years of unsustainable fishing practices.  Therefore, places like I Love Sushi’s Seattle restaurant need to be increasingly more concerned with sustainability.  You can do your part for the sustainability movement by seeking out fish that are commonly farmed, or fish that are more resilient to being overfished in their natural environments.  Please take a look at this partial list of the healthier fish populations:

  • Salmon
  • Black Cod
  • Scallops, Mussels, Clams, and Oysters
  • Yellowfin Tuna
  • Dungeness, Stone, and Alaskan King Crab
  • Atlantic, King, and Spanish Mackerel
  • Sea Urchin
  • Octopus
  • Squid
